Strategic Partnership for Housing Needs: ERCAAN & Alternative Bank

The Estate, Rent and Commission Agents Association of Nigeria (ERCAAN) has signed a Strategic Partnership Agreement with Alternative Bank, a non-interest bank in Nigeria, to cater to the rental and homeownership needs of its members and the general public.

The event, which took place on Wednesday at the corporate headquarters of the bank in Marina, Lagos, was attended by the national president, Hon. Godwin Alenkhe (EFA) and key members of the association.

In his speech, Alenkhe lauded the bank for introducing rental loans for prospective home seekers and sitting tenants, which, according to him, “will solve the rental payment demands of Nigerians.

“With this agreement, members of ERCAAN and their clients can collect loans to finance their rents yearly and pay back monthly,” Alenkhe assured.

Noting that ERCAAN is one of the most organised real estate regulatory associations in Nigeria, the bank’s representative and Head of Personal and Cluster Banking, Mr. Habeeb Lawal, expressed his belief that the partnership will ease the financial burdens on prospective homeowners and tenants.

In attendance were Mr. Oladipupo Onaseso, Product Manager of Alternative Bank; Mr. Segun Ibirogba, General Secretary of ERCAAN; and Mr. Vincent Okonko, ERCAAN Treasurer, among others.
