The national body of the Estate, Rent and Commission Agents Association of Nigeria (ERCAAN) has established new committees to oversee its affairs.
Rising from the June edition of the association’s monthly meeting, the national president, Hon. Godwin Alenkhe (EFA), said that the establishment of the committees was in fulfilment of one of his electoral pledges, which was also stressed in his inaugural speech.
He explained that the committees would manage the association’s affairs with utmost integrity and transparency.
The new committees, according to him, include the following: the Electoral, Publicity, Merit Award, Expansion Drive, Education & Human Capital Development, and Task Force. Others are Conference Planning & 2025 Annual General Meeting, Constitution Harmonisation & Membership Recertification, Advisory, National Permanent Secretariat Aquatization, and National Insurance/Welfare.
To chair some of the committees, Alenkhe announced the following names: Hon. Adeshina Ibrahim (EFA) for the Electoral Board; Hon. Taiwo Fagbemi (Task Force); Hon. Mallam Yusuf (EFA) (Constitution Harmonisation); Hon. Godwin Demech (EFA) Conference 2025; Hon. Adegbaju Hezekiah Adeyemi (Publicity); Hon. Segun Ibirogba (EFA) (Membership Recertification); and Hon. Israel Olugbade (Welfare and Insurance Committee).
He further stated that two ad hoc committees for the 2025 AGM and the National Calendar 2025 would be chaired by Hon. Thomas Ojo Friday (EFA) and Hon. Mrs. Joyce Chinonye, respectively.
On the selection of the heads and members of the committees, the national president explained, “They were selected based on performance, integrity and consistency, and in consideration of the values and ethical codes of the association,” adding, “They should appreciate the gesture and be grateful for being called to serve.”
